Some are now asking if Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong can work his magic and have Adele come to Singapore too.

Grammy Award-winning singer Adele recently invited a lucky fan from Singapore up on stage during her concert in Munich, Germany.

“6,248 miles, come up my love,” shouted Adele.”

The number 6,248 miles, or 10,055km, is the distance from Munich to Singapore.

The female fan was then brought on stage towards Adele who hugged her before asking for her name.

After excitedly introducing herself as “Hannah”, the woman then said she was there with girlfriend “Yan” who was recording the entire exchange.

“Where did you guys come from?” asked Adele, to which Hannah replied, “Singapore”.

“I’ve never been to Singapore. I really want to go to Singapore,” said Adele.

Adele has never performed in Asia before and has said in interviews that she prefers spending time with her family than being on the road touring.
Hannah then revealed that she had been in Germany for a week and that she was there “just for (Adele)”.
She also briefly shared her itinerary of visiting Vienna and touring a lake by boat, to which Adele dryly said, “I’m not built for boats”. The pop diva then further explained that she is frightened that someone will “take a photo of the total eclipse of her arse”.
Pointing to Hannah’s and Yan’s banners, Adele went on to say she is “so glad that you made that little sign” to which the camera panned to Yan with the sign “6,248 miles just to see you Adele”.
Yan also unfolded other banners including a hand-drawn Singapore flag, and two signs that said “Love from Singapore” and “Amalina sends her love”.

Adele quickly gave a shoutout to Amalina who is Hannah and Yan’s friend back in Singapore.

Hannah naturally got a picture with Adele who animatedly posed for a few shots before reminding the former to take a goodie bag.

After the video went viral online, netizens praised Adele for “always having one of the best fan interactions” at a concert.

Singaporean fans also took to the comments saying how much they want to see Adele performing in Singapore.

One even hilariously wrote that “Edwin Tong needs to get this concert here ASAP!” while another begged Adele to “Come and do a seven-day concert series in Singapore!”

Edwin Tong, the Minister for Culture, Community, and Youth in Singapore, has been credited for leading the team that brought American singer Taylor Swift to Singapore to play six sold-out shows at the National Stadium.

The Rumour Has It singer has performed in Munich since Aug 2 and is set to wrap up the Munich residency this Saturday (Aug 31).
