According to data from the Department of Agriculture (USDA), chicken is the most popular meat for dinner for American families.
In 2020, the per capita consumption of chicken was approximately 97.5 pounds, far more than the 57.4 pounds of beef and 51.2 pounds of pork.
Why is chicken so popular? It is one of the cheapest options with a huge amount of versatility, often taking on the flavors of whatever it is cooked with.
Well, the woman running the account “You Can Cook It” on YouTube–@youcancookit7311–has a brilliant new way to prepare poultry that only needs a few ingredients.
The recipe requires eggs, chicken, cheese, and spices, all normal ingredients found in a typical kitchen. The creative part of this recipe, however, is that you also need tinfoil.
The YouTube user shows us how to stuff the chicken with tinfoil! By doing so, the inside of the chicken can cook more evenly and prevent rawness. The tinfoil heats up and results in a near-perfect piece of chicken every time.
